Saudi minister underlines importance of advancing media message

 Acting Minister of Media Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA), patronized here on Sunday SBA's celebration of the World Television Day.

In a speech delivered on this occasion, Dr. Al-Qasabi stressed the importance of the message presented by television throughout its history, indicating that the opportunity exists for every content creator despite the difficulty of competition that is governed by many criteria.

He noted the importance of continuing the journey of success and advancing the media message due to the amazing developmental leaps that the Kingdom is witnessing.

SBA's CEO Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Harthi announced the launch of a media content hackathon to turn ideas into reality on television.

The celebration witnessed many artistic and lyrical segments that brought the audience back to old memories.

The event also witnessed the honoring of seven programs that won preference awards at the Arab Radio and Television Festival in Tunisia last month in the presence of the most prominent figures and media names that served Saudi TV.
