The Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawaha received here yesterday with the Minister of Manpower and the Second Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Singapore, Dr. Tan Si Ling, currently on a visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, they discussed aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the digital economy, in addition to reviewing the Saudi Ministry's strategic policies seeking to empower the Kingdom digitally, raise the level of services and electronic platforms and develop digital skills as well as raise the participation of the private sector and entrepreneurs in implementing digital transformation projects in order to build a digital community, digital government, a thriving digital economy and a better future for the Kingdom.

The Kingdom and Singapore seek to activate the partnership by signing a memorandum of understanding for digital cooperation with the aim of improving bilateral relations in the field of communications, information technology and the digital economy, and enhancing their position and leadership at the regional and global levels.
