Saudi African affairs minister receives Egyptian envoy to Riyadh

Ahmed Kattan, the Saudi minister of state for African affairs, highlighted the strength of the relationship between the Kingdom and Egypt on Wednesday during a meeting with the North African country's ambassador, Ahmed Farouk.

Kattan, who served as the Kingdom's ambassador to Egypt between 2011 and 2018, discussed with Farouk bilateral relations and ways in which cooperation with African countries might be enhanced within the framework of their nations' foreign polices.

Farouk stressed the close ties that unite the two countries and their ongoing coordination on regional and international issues of common interest.
