Relief planes of Saudi aid airlift arrive in Afghanistan
The fifth and sixth relief planes; within the Saudi aid airlift to support the Afghan people; dispatched by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief); arrived here Saturday; to illustrate carrying 65 tons and 746 kilograms of food and shelter; including 1;674 food baskets and 192 shelter bags.
The total aid provided within the Saudi airlift to the Afghan people reached 197 tons and 238 kilograms of food and shelter; through the KSrelief; and will also be distributed to the neediest families in Afghanistan.
Markedly this aid falls within the framework of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's support for the Afghan people; and in order to meet their basic needs.
The KSrelief inaugurated here Friday the educational laboratories at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Aden; after the completion of the project in order to equip them; namely in the presence of the Deputy Governor of Aden Dr. Rashad Shaye; President of Aden University; Al-Khidr Nasser Lasour; and also a number of academics and university officials.
The project included preparing the educational building for the laboratory department and the anatomical museum; providing them with the necessary educational equipment also such as seats; computers; and modern teaching aids; benefiting 2;315 students and 772 faculty members.
It also rehabilitated two buildings and 5 educational halls; in addition to creating an electronic library that markedly contains references; books; educational videos; and also a program for displaying in D3 technology.
These efforts come as an extension of the humanitarian projects; provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; represented by the KSrelief; in order to raise the capabilities of the health and education sectors in Yemen.
