New COVID-19 cases outpace recoveries in KSA as infections go over 500

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health (MoH) announced on Monday the registration of 524 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 142 recoveries in the Kingdom during the past 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health added in their statement that the number of critical cases reached 40.

"The total number of infections in the country reached 553,319, while the recovery tally reached 541,010," The ministry's statistics showed.

The MoH also reported a new death, bringing fatalities tally in the Kingdom to 8,872.

The Ministry of Health advised everyone to contact the toll free (937) for consultations and inquiries around the clock, and to obtain health information and services.
